Teenagers (Year 8) asking to celebrate Confirmation Minimize

WHAT ?

Your parents and godparents promised to bring you to the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation when you were baptised.

Now as you enter Year 8 of school, or older, the Church invites you to ask for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

The Church here in the parish is very glad to share this with you. We must be sure that you know you are part of the parish family, that you are at home here in the Holy Ghost, the Spirit you receive in Confirmation.

We ask you to think seriously about this Sacrament and how you will live as a Christian and as part of our Catholic parish afterwards. What can we give to you? What will you share with us?

WHO ?

The candidates need to sign up for the Sacrament on the list in the church porch.

Then at the induction meeting you will meet the preparation team of catechists and supporters, led by Catherine Cassidy, who is the Confirmation Co-ordinator for our parish.

If you have any questions during the process please contact her.

HOW ?

Induction meeting for all candidates and parents begins with Mass at 7.30pm
on Monday 20 November 06.

Candidates will be enrolled at Masses on Youth Sunday, the feast of Christ the King, 26 November 06.

Parents Meetings begin with Mass at 7.30pm on Thursdays 11 January 07, 3 May 07.
